This is a capable, practical, and fun all-around car! Clean title, largely stock, and well maintained.
5 speed manual, AWD, 2.5L Turbo Boxer engine. Runs and drives well, engine is strong, transmission is in good health, and the clutch has plenty of life left. This is the premium trim so it has heated seats which are super nice in the Utah winter.
Hatchbacks are great, this has been a super practical car for me since it’s not as large as an SUV but it still has a lot of room on the inside. There’s plenty of rear seat space for passengers, and with the seats down there is lots of cargo space.
Spark plugs replaced recently with genuine NGK Laser Iridum (best spark plugs for turbo subarus), transmission and rear differential oil changed, coolant flushed. All season tires are in good condition with plenty of tread and grip left. No major rust to my knowledge, but I don’t have access to a lift.
The car has really nice looking bronze aftermarket wheels (I will throw in an extra rim that I have), aftermarket head unit with bluetooth (but no carplay unfortunately), full sized spare tire, roof rails, roof rack (not pictured, but if you want I can install it) weighted shift knob, WeatherTech rubber floor mats (oem subaru mat in the trunk!), and I don’t smoke or vape.
206k miles is a lot, but it’s been decently maintained. There are a few flaws with the car due to the age and mileage, but nothing catastrophic. I’m going to list all of the known issues to be completely transparent.
I would say the immediate largest problem with the interior is the driver side door handle cracked, so i’ve been having to open the window and use the handle from the outside. By the time you contact me, I will probably have fixed this (since this is a common problem in this generation of Subarus and a replacement handle is only ~$10).
The second largest issue is that the muffler is rusted off. Shockingly the car isn’t obnoxiously loud at all, and it doesn’t affect daily driving. There is a chance that by the time you contact me I will have installed a new muffler, but if not, I can price the car for you accordingly. Also, even though it rusted off, i’m pretty confident that there isn’t any major rust issues with the undercarriage of the car.
The rear windows are slow to go up, and the passenger side window switch doesn’t work. I never got around to replacing switches and motors since it never really bothered the driver.
The Interior is clean overall, but the center console lid is cracked and the shift boot fabric is fraying/coming loose. Neither issue affects functionality at all. There is a small mystery stain in the headliner of the back seats.
The previous owner didn’t install TPMS sensors, so that light is perpetually on.
Occasionally, taking off from a stop, the car will stall and the engine shuts off (could be driver error, but these stalls feel different).
Selling because it’s too much car for me. I commute city in heavy traffic times, so theres no opportunity for me to really use this car. I am looking to buy a higher MPG car (i’ve averaged 21 mpg, wanting 30 ) that is cheaper on gas.
$4500 negotiable. Clean title in hand.
