This is a 16-year-old car that I've owned for eight years and had a lot of mechanical work done on (tire replacements, battery replacement, etc.) so it still runs well. However, it needs a new catalytic converter (the current one will not pass an emissions test, and the car will eventually run badly without it). The quote I was given for a full replacement was $4,000. The rest of the car is in good shape, though there is some minor paint damage on the front passenger bumper and the leather interior shows a bit of wear and tear.
