2010 Ford F-150: Interior Upgrades – Project Body

If you are looking for a truck with a rock-solid foundation that just needs some elbow grease to be 100%, this is it. We purchased this F-150 last year as a project vehicle; we’ve finished the interior and tech, the drivetrain is strong, and it’s ready for someone to take it across the finish line.

With 200,000 miles, the engine runs great, and the transmission is solid. It’s in decent working order as-is, but it is priced specifically for a buyer who wants a project they can improve over time.

The "Project" Details (What it needs)

To get this rig back to its peak, there are two main areas that I know of to address:

1. The 4x4 System (IWE Issue): Like many F-150s of this era, the front hub vacuum system (IWE) needs attention. It has a light rattle under acceleration. We’ve used a common temporary fix (vacuum disconnected), which stops the noise but keeps it in 2WD. A new solenoid or hub actuators should restore full 4x4 functionality.

2. The Body: It has notable rust. It’s a great candidate for someone who knows their way around some body work or a buyer who just needs a strong-running truck and isn't concerned with perfection.

3. TMPS sensors in the front driver tire needs replacing
