TRADE ONLY – 2000 Ford F-250 Super Duty XLT Crew Cab Long Bed 7.3 Powerstroke 4x4

Built late 1999. Clean-title F-250 Super Duty XLT, crew cab, long bed, 4WD, 7.3 Powerstroke turbo diesel, 4R100 automatic, around 258k miles.

This truck is not pretty, not fast, and not for someone looking for a polished pavement princess. It is a dependable old 7.3 in true get-in-and-go condition. Starts, runs, drives, tows, no warning lights, no leaks, clean frame, pre-emissions diesel, passes emissions. It is mechanically stock and does not roll coal.

Major recent work includes upgraded transmission with cooler, full steering assembly, brakes/master cylinder, alternator, batteries, charging system wiring, high-pressure oil system overhaul, glow plugs, fuel/injector service, rear main seal, valve cover gaskets, injector harness, belt and pulleys. It also has newer 35” Hankook Dynapro AT2 tires, an older 4” lift, upgraded lights, JVC head unit, and Kicker speakers.

The bad: driver seat torn, center armrest torn, console latch broken, speedometer doesn’t work though odometer does, passenger window needs motor/regulator, passenger door won’t unlock from outside, suspension rides just okay, and body rust in two spots. Paint still shines up well, but it has scratches and dents. It’s loud, slow, thirsty, and rides like a truck.

Mechanically, it’s solid. This is a real work truck that has been maintained to keep working. It tows hard, handles truck duties the way it should, and has documented repairs/service history. Comes with spare CPS, repair manual, and spare door key.

Looking to trade for a smaller reliable 4x4 pickup like a Tacoma, Ranger, or Colorado, or possibly a dependable Honda or Toyota car. Straight trade or trade plus cash either direction depending on the vehicle. Not looking for junk, projects, or somebody else’s problem.

I’m in no hurry to get rid of it, and there will be no random joy rides. I know it’s not a Porsche, but I don’t exactly need help putting miles on it for fun.

Blunt version: it’s ugly, but it’ll probably outlive both of us.
