This car has been fantastic for me, but it’s time to move on. I have been chasing a misfire that I just can’t sort out. In the last few thousand miles I’ve replaced the coil packs, spark plugs, fuel injectors, diverter valve, purge valve, crankshaft position sensor, camshaft position sensor, maf sensor, and map sensor. I’ve also resealed the valve cover and vacuum pump. My understanding is that the timing chain and rear main seal are really all that’s left to try, I’m just tired of spending money on it. I have two other beetles and a mk1 rabbit project car that I want to focus on. Come take a look and shoot me an offer. It’s not perfect but in great condition for the year.
