2003 Silverado 1500HD LS. Look up “clean, one owner” in the dictionary and you’ll probably see a picture of this truck. Purchased new in 2003 from Murdock Chevrolet. It has 135692 miles on it, mostly highway – it still has the factory brake pads. It was primarily a dirt bike hauler, not a camper tower. The truck is a crew cab with a 6 ½ foot bed. It has leather seats with a 60/40 front seat (center seat folds down) so it’s a full 6-passenger truck. The back seat lays out flat for hauling crap you don't want out in the weather, or you can put a pad down and sleep there. It has Cognito upper control arms on the front suspension to correct GM’s totally mis-engineered ball joint angle when the chassis is leveled. Common problem on these trucks. Otherwise no modifications to the vehicle. Improvements, but no mods. All the problematic stepper motors for the gauges have been replaced with updated, improved motors. It has an easily removable locking fiberglass bed cover, Rhino sprayed-on bed liner, polished stainless (not chrome or plated aluminum) nerf bars, Weathertech floor mats, Bilstein shocks, Energy Suspensions poly front end bushings, and a tailgate release damper (so the tailgate doesn’t just drop open). It has a few minor scratches in the paint – I can tell you how most of them got there – but it’s never been wrecked or in a fender bender. Otherwise the paint is perfect. Everything works like it was new. It has a 6.0L engine with no AFM (if you know what Active Fuel Management is, you know it’s problematic), 4L80E 4-speed auto transmission, 4WD, and a locking differential. The tires have about 20k miles on them and have plenty of tread left. I have an excel file of everything that’s been done on the truck – gas fill ups, oil changes, service bulletins, repair, maintenance, etc. I love this truck and don’t want to sell it but I’ve been given orders to cull the herd, but I’m in no hurry to sell. Please low-ball me so I can have an excuse to keep it…I’ll keep it before I give it away.
