Here in Utah and the Mountain West, car buyers are looking for lots of different things. Some are counting the feet of snow they’ll be plowing through, while others are counting the amount of kids they’ll be able to cram inside. From the desert drivers to the mountain motorists and city chauffeurs, there are plenty of ways to drive and plenty of things to see. But what do KSL Cars users want to see the most? These are the top 10 vehicles people are searching for on KSL Cars.

10.Vehicles With Cummins engines

The tenth most searched term on KSL Cars actually isn’t a car — it’s the legendary Cummins diesel engine. Go figure. Known for its power and durability, Cummins has been around for over a hundred years, fueling everything from everyday work trucks to fully loaded semis. As a consumer, you’ll mostly find their handiwork in Ram’s heavy-duty pickups (2500s and up). If you want the high torque and durability of a Cummins engine to help you tow for endless miles but aren’t a Ram fan, a new or used Nissan Titan XD is another solid choice.

9. Chevrolet Suburban

It’s no surprise the Suburban landed on this list. After all, there aren’t many vehicles with enough passenger room to fit a Utah-sized family and enough power to tow the boats, trailers or toys you want to bring along on an adventurous summer vacation. Combining the comfort, safety features and space of a minivan with the power of a pickup, it’s obvious why so many people are trying to make the Chevy Suburban their next do-it-all ride.

8. Toyota 4Runner

Roll up to any trailhead ‘round these parts and you’re bound to see at least one dusty 4Runner with “Wash Me” scribbled on the back. With enough off-road capabilities to camp, hike and ski in rugged areas and enough longevity to tack on adventure after adventure, the Toyota 4Runner is a clear favorite of local outdoor enthusiasts. Its reliability also makes for a consistently hot used market, so buyers can usually resell easily  when the time comes. The time may never come, however — folks really love their 4Runners.

7. Chevrolet Camaro

First introduced in 1966 as a competitor to the Ford Mustang, the Camaro is often thought of as a muscle car, even though it’s actually in a class known as pony cars. Apparently, local buyers still haven’t let go of their childhood dream of owning a pony, because there’s plenty of interest in both new and used Camaros. Whether you’re looking to cruise around town blasting your favorite 70’s jams in a funked-up classic or vroom across the desert in a speedy new model, you’ll find all kinds of Camaros on KSL Cars

6. Ford Bronco

Search for a Ford Bronco and you’ll find one of two things — a brand spankin’ new, high tech off-road SUV or one of America’s classic off-road pioneers. In case you hadn’t heard, the Ford Bronco is back! With a variety of package options from Ford, buyers can find or customize a brand new 2021 Bronco to perfectly suit their off-road needs. Don’t downplay the benefits of old school cool, though. Still suited for rugged terrain, an inexpensive older Bronco in good condition is a truly epic find.

5. Ford F-150 Raptor

Get a glimpse of this sleek yet imposing F-150 upgrade and you’ll understand why Ford chose the name “Raptor” as its high performance moniker. In addition to the visual differences between the standard F-150 — a more aggressive body, a unique grille and various protective elements — the F-150 Raptor is also better equipped to handle off-road environments and comes with a much more powerful engine. Of course, that means it also comes with a much higher price tag, but plenty of people have decided to shell out the extra cash for a new or used Raptor

4. Vehicles With Duramax engines

Cummins, Duramax and Power Stroke might fight forever for the title of best diesel engine, but KSL Cars users have already declared their champion. Duramax actually lags behind the other two in a few metrics, but for the most part, all of these diesel engines have the dependability and power needed by the average consumer. The popularity of Duramax is likely due to the popularity of the vehicles it’s used in — you’ll find Duramax engines in GM trucks like the Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra, as well as other select trucks and SUVs made by GM.

3. Ford Mustang

Sorry Camaro, the Ford Mustang is the most popular pony in these parts. It's no one trick pony either — since 1964, version after version of the Mustang has turned heads. With its classically cool body and high powered performance, it’s no wonder users are searching for a Mustang of their own. Affordable Mustangs are actually often easier to find than some of their iconic counterparts, especially if the buyer is willing to put some work into the car. So if you’ve been dreaming of riding a Mustang across the Wild West, it’s time to put the pedal to the metal on your search and shop Ford Mustangs on KSL Cars now.

2. Toyota Tacoma

How did a Toyota truck nearly top a list with so many American cars on it? It might be because of its unrivaled longevity; it’s far from unheard of for a Tacoma to drive up to 400,000-plus miles. Or maybe it’s the high resale value that comes with that longevity. Maybe it’s the dependability that sells people, since it’s always nice to know you won’t break down when you’re miles off the road. Or maybe it’s the ability to cover those off-road miles easily with one of the best off-road trucks on the market. Honestly, it's probably a little bit of everything that has so many folks searching for Toyota Tacomas

1. Chevrolet Corvette

The Corvette is often referred to as America’s sports car, and if KSL Cars is any indication, it’s earned that title. Since 1953, the Corvette has been as synonymous with America as baseball and apple pie. The sleek, distinctive styling and endlessly rev-able power of the Corvette has driven its way through the pages of American history over the past 70 years, and doesn’t look to be stopping soon. Buyers who head to KSL Cars for a slice of the American Dream are often rewarded. Between the always available newer generations of the Corvette, rare classics and everything in between, there are Chevy Corvettes for every type of shopper on KSL Cars.
