Color - Brown
Mileage - 133706
Engine – 1.9L original
Transmission - Manual
Factory Options -
Sound system – Kenwood with CD. No BT. 2001 era. 6x9 speakers in door
Clean Title
Significant history –
I purchased the Westy from an older couple in 1996 with 41k miles on it. Both of us stored in a garage. Both of us lived in Boise Idaho. 11 years ago I moved to Flagstaff and it’s been here since. There was one year where I sold it 1999 and then bought it back 2000 (yes, same van, sellers remorse).
Overall Condition (exterior, interior, mechanical and camper parts if applicable)
Mechanically it is running really well. Just had it in the shop for an O2 sensor and temp sensor check. Idle is good at start. Cruises 77 mph @4000 rpm.
Paint has some cosmetic small dings and scratches, small dents here and there but not a ton around the body.
Pop top works well but screen has holes from age (original), canvas is worn but works well
Stove and sink work well.
Upholstery is excellent (no tears or holes).
Cabinetry is excellent with everything working.
No cracks in dash or any camper parts.
- Known issues and/or defects
No rust is visible
Small transmission leak on the bottom seal
Front bushings are purchased but not installed
Rubber seals are in good shape but there are some replacements that should be addressed in the next year or two.
Front paint is chipped from road debris (no rust) primer still intact. I touched up quite a few spots but there are more to go.
Some of the chips on the lower sections behind the wheels have been reprimed and then coated with the bed liner skirt.
Pop top canvas is showing its age. There are some holes in the screen and the canvas has a couple small pin holes near the rear. The elastic on the corners are not working well.
- Major repairs
The engine heads have been resurfaced twice (1999 and 2019 new rings too).
All four wheel bearings replaced (2018)

Phone: 208five71five802/ call or text any time/ Starting september 2020 the engine block has a 1 year unlimited mile warranty/ 1980 vw vanagon westfalia with a subaru ej20 freshly swapped in this september 2020. It has a new timing belt and pulleys, new clutch and flywheel, some new gaskets, it does not leak or burn any oil and has approximately 55,000 miles on it. The van has a manual transmission. A classic hippy van and an adventure all in its self. A novelty, an aesthetically pleasuring vehicle all around. With all this 1980 classic beauty its sure is not perfect but hey she has her issues but with the freshly swapped ej20 it's a sure thing. Fine tune it all in your self, put your love into her and she will give it in return in adventure and money. Once this Van's all perfected and you have adventures in it it will be worth even more. That's the amazing thing about this wicked vw Van's the price has only gone up and it's not going to stop. I'm in boise idaho, come on down and take a look. I can tell you everything I know about it, which is quiet a bit so be ready. I'm asking 14k or best offer.

Incredibly rare almost unheard of 1986 VW Westfalia Weekender Multivan Limited Edition Wolfsburg with TWO extra jump seats from the factory. That's right, this edition is incredibly rare as most MV only have one jump seat, so this van seats 7 with seatbelts.
What kind of vehicle can you drive around and enjoy as it is actually increasing in value ?! This one! One of the most sought after of all vanagons but this one is the only one like it I've ever seen with two extra jump seats (NADA didn't even have that as an option when pricing it out, btw NADA is what the banks and car collectors and insurance all use to value these).
Asking high NADA but am expecting a reasonable offer but I know it'll sell in a heartbeat in SoCal so I may be taking her there or San Diego area.
Comes with two original arm rest blue seats the front seats now are leather and believe are from a classic Ford bronco and are probably worth something too.
(Seats in storage)
The good
Amazing engine compression when tested! 130-120s
Brand new head gaskets done by mechanic,
All new belts
All new plugs,
New oil filter,
New oil,
New wires
New lots of other things
All receipts in hand
Tons of tread on tires, (10 ply)
Newer battery
JBL speakers
CD player w BT USB car microphone for hands free calling and aux input
Two original extra jump seats included
Runs amazing! No leaks or smoke or weird smells, starts everytime.
The bad,
Tear in drivers seat leather
Small tear in tent on top but but has been repaired but a new canvas is $280 and has 3 windows.
Skylight needs to be replaced but I have bought one. Not a big deal.
Thats about it! And those are minor, check the NADA before you send me crazy messages please hahah.
More pics to come, just haven't had time and have been polishing her up as time allows.
$34k and about 10pct annual value increase is better than most other investment, and that is "average" NADA (look at how much the value you went up THIS year alone) this van is above average with below average miles, the small amount of TLC such as the seat tear are not big jobs or expensive. All of that work has been done.
OBO willing to accept offers just no low ballers please or time wasters.
Come take her for a spin! No tire kickers or time wasters please, this van is a serious investment that will only increase yearly as you enjoy it and take it camping
Call or text, text is fastest way for me to reply

Please read this ad very carefully. Serious inquires only!!!! This Vanagon Westfalia is awesome in every way! The mainframe is all original with 91,913 miles (has a bit of surface rust in places. It’s from 1980 people). The engine, transmission and clutch have 6,000 miles. There is a 2” GoWesty lift and oversized tires (General Grabber AT2’s on 16” VW wheels w/about 85% tread) that help you get anywhere you want to go. I took off the original bumpers and replaced them with front and rear GoWesty bumpers with the rear 5th wheel spare swinging tire mount. Also installed ARB Touring awning with ARB screen room using GoWesty brackets and hardware. The interior is all original (except for the GoWesty ABS interior panels) w/original working equipment and in excellent shape for the year. There is a power inverter and an extra battery so, it can run off its own power and not drain the main Vanagon battery. There is an Alpine stereo that has all the latest and greatest technologies. USB, BT, Pandora etc..... there are USB ports throughout the cabin and a 110v outlet as well. Sleeps 4 very comfortably. This is the ultimate nostalgic adventure van that gets thumbs ups and looks everywhere we go. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. Will not respond to the BS scammers!! NO.......... I WILL NOT send back a 6 digit GOOGLE code to prove this isn’t a fake ad!!!!! Serious inquires only! I am a busy person to deal with tire kickers. If you are looking at this, you know what you’re looking at and what it is. NO joy rides. Don’t want my time wasted! Text is best. Title in hand. Thank you for looking.

Ed Anderson Conversion
Subaru svx engine installed 2016 no AC. Now has about 85k miles and 140k on the body. Odometer just stopped working on the last trip so accurate until then. 4 speed manual trans plus a granny gear. I have a novel of maintenance history and parts replaced. Just had timing belt water pump and cam seals done last year. Valve gaskets done last week. New decoupler. New switches for decoupler and rear locker. Inside has a full kitchen with fridge stove and sink. Also has a heater powered by the 5 gallon propane mounted under the van. One bed that folds from the back and one that slides in place up top. Body had scratches and dents from being used for its intended purpose. One of them has had some bondo work. There are some areas of the body where I exposed metal to clean off surface rust and looking to match the paint soon. I am also in the process of trying to replace components of the roof sun window and upper side windows. Mostly seals and tighten everything up. Undercarriage looks great. It’s a cool van but it’s not for show. It will continue to be used. Includes matching 5th wheel as a spare stored underneath. If you are seriously interested in buying I can send the history via text or email. Let me know if you have questions or want to look it. You can test drive if you have the money. Otherwise I can take you for a ride. Please only send texts if you are serious.

Fully original Westfalia pop-up camper edition!
Big vented Audi V8 breaks in the front, Audi Quattro disc breaks in the rear.

Polyurethane bushings everywhere, including steering rack and transmission mount.

New Bosch alternator, as a replacement part, as the current one is still good.
New rubber mats.
Nice front seat upholstery work.
New Gowesty throttle.

It runs radio in the fron, propane heater, several 12V outlets in front and rear as well as a nice Wynter 12 V refrigerator.
Propex propane heater makes winter camping fun!
Comes with extra engine and transmission, both in parts, well organized.
Many new parts, I have purchased but haven’t put in yet.
Other rare original replacement part are also included, such as a grill in great shape.
Body is fair, great patina, nothing needs urgent attention, but could need a little TLC.

-Sleeps 4 adults pretty easily

Purchasing this vanagon was one of the best decisions of my life. I have had the time of my life traveling in this vanagon. It needs to go to someone who will love and cherish it the way I have. Also, this is a 2.1L original engine water boxer which means that it is water-cooled, a much more reliable engine, and a bigger engine than any vanagon made between 1980-1986.
I purchased this van almost two years ago from the 2nd owner. The odometer stopped at 133,338 and I have driven it around 20,000 miles all over the western United States. It drove over 2,000 miles in one week with no problems. it also will go 80MPH on the freeway, most vanagons don't. It has never left me stranded, never broken down, and I have done constant preventative maintenance. Below you will find a list of the maintenance schedule, as well as the upgrades I have made.
-Oil changes every 3 months or sooner if I go on trips.
-New gear oil, power steering fluid flush, brake fluid flush, new coolant, oil change, distributor cap, ignition wires, spark plugs, and full tune up ($1000) April 2020
-new clutch in 2018 ($1500)
-All fluids changed, replaced coolant pipes with stainless steel kit, tune up, new oil cooler, 4 new wheel bearings June 2020 ($3000)
-replaced brakes, fuel lines, and resealed fuel tank in August 2020
-Go Westy 16" Alloy Wheels with KO2 Tires ($1600) 70% tread left
-Upgraded Syncro Bilstein Shocks all around ($800)
-GoWesty Auxillary Battery Kit and Brand new Auxiliary Batter ($500)
-Brand New Car Battery ($200)
-Aftermarket radiator fan (so it never overheats)
-Interior lights
-Rear Facing back seat mod ($250)
-Spare fuel filter ($12)
-Spare fuel pump ($70)
-Rear Door Struts ($40)
-Spare Distributor ($70)
-Spare Fuse Set ($13)
Also comes with:
-small tool set ($60)
-extra long jumper cables ($50)
-vanagon maintenance and shop manuals ($200)
-tire puncture kit ($50)
-RV power hookup cord ($75)
-spare serpentine belts ($50)
-Other extras and work done that I can't remember right now
Things to be aware of:
Heaters don’t currently work, forced heat works very well but the blower motors need to be replaced. Ac compressor needs to be replaced for you to have cold air blowing. I have also had all rust spots ground out, sealed, and lightly repainted. You can see the rust taken care of in the first few pictures
I've spent over $10,000 on this van in the last two years just so it will run great for you! I also have all work receipts going back to first owner.
Call or text me if you have any more questions.

1987 Vanagon Synchro full camper 40,000 original miles Price: 68,000
We have all heard the stories. This sat in a friend of my families garage for 20 some years. 40,000 original miles and the thing has been babied the whole time. We are the second owners and bought it in June. They drove it every 2 months 6 miles. Everything is immaculate. I bought it in June and put the cross bars on with the go westy water tank (7 galllon). It also has the MT60-64 quart fridge/freezer. Gowesty mats, gowesty trailer hitch. No rust at all!! The undercarriage still has a lot of the original paint that was sprayed on it. Let me know if you have any questions. This thing is truly one of a kind. Call or text with questions. You will not see an original synchro in this condition ever.
